About the Rotary Club of Tokyo Waseda

The Rotary Club of Tokyo Waseda is relatively new among the Rotary clubs. It was founded in 1994, with the 32 Charter Members including the female. The Club started as a member of the Rotary clubs in the Shinjyuku-ku district, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Tokyo Yotsuya.
The first President of our Club was the deceased, Mr. Nobuyuki Okuma, the honor faculty member of the Waseda University.
The Club activities are operated in the Shinjyuku-ku, Tokyo, servicing to the communities in the region.
Currently, we have 44 members, of which, 11 are female including the first female President of the Club.
We are proud of offering cozy and relaxed atmosphere, located in Waseda and Ushigome area, which characterizes the Club. For example, many members are engaged in printing and paper manufacturing related, and some are the Waseda University related. Our international members include those from Taiwan and Korea. Our meeting takes place at the RIHGA Royal Hotel within the Waseda University ground, enriched with an educational environment despite its center city location.
We would love to meet Rotarians from around the world, and we invite you to attend our meeting. If you are interested in attending, please contact the RIHGA Royal hotel or our administrative office.
