About the Rotary Club of Tokyo Waseda

The Rotary Club of Tokyo Waseda was founded in 1994 as a Rotary Club in the Shinjuku area. Its sponsored club is the Rotary Club of Tokyo Yotsuya. There are 32 charter members. The first president was Nobuyuki Okuma, a guest of Waseda University. The club is active in Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo, and is involved in the local community through service and other activities. It is a relatively new club among Rotary clubs. There have been female members since its establishment, and our club had a couple of female presidents. The friendly and convivial atmosphere is unique to our club. One of the characteristics of the club is that many of its members are involved in printing, paper, and manufacturing due to its location in Waseda and Ushigome, and that some of its members are related to Waseda University. The club is also international, with members from Taiwan and Korea. The meeting place is RIHGA Royal Hotel Tokyo, which is located on the campus of Waseda University. We look forward to seeing you at our meetings. Please contact us at the hotel where the meeting is held or at the Secretariat Office.

The design of the club banner is based on the motif of a horseback archery event, “Yabusame (horseback archery),
